Section 3: Community Involvement
I am on 5 different residents Facebook groups, on which I regularly post stories of council issues I am working on and progressing and it's also an opportunity for many residents to contact me and ask me questions and to raise their concerns.
Section 4: Assisting Constituents
I have delivered 3 newsletters over the last 12 months to all residents, setting out the issues I am pursuing and those that I have delivered upon.
Section 5: Supplementary Information
Over the last 12 months I have championed many Highway improvements across the ward. I have had safety bollards installed along Silverwoods Way, close to the leisure centre to prevent illegal parking.
I have also had double yellow lines installed on the corner of Humphries Drive and Mill Lane and also on the junction of Rifle Range Road and Shrawley Avenue.
I have also had a new road surface installed on Summer Road and I am currently campaigning for new pavements to be resurfaced on Hoo Road and Blount Terrace.
I've tried to address the issue of speeding traffic on Hoo Road, Wilden Lane and Sutton Park Road by getting two additional Speed Activated Signs purchased for these roads.
I have delt with a large volume of case work from local residents over the last 12 months.
After a six-year absence I have returned to the Cabinet as the Cabinet Member for Operational Services.
